Position Overview

As the Retail Associate, you will serve both Falls Creek and CrossTimbers by overseeing retail facilities, equipment, orders, sales, and staff. You will actively participate in recruiting during the Conference Season. You will have the supervision and support of 2 supervisors and 5 team leads each Summer. This position will directly report to the Associate Director.

Responsibilities

Drive staff and service standards to create a responsive, responsible, and respectful environment.

  • Teach staff their job.
  • Delegate responsibility.
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Improve the performance of staff.
  • Help problem-solve summer staff issues as they arise.
  • Work weekend retreats when requested by the event.

Develop efficient systems and policies to prioritize the customer experience.

  • Managing orders and stock of supplies and merchandise Implementation of weekly, monthly, and yearly repairs and maintenance of retail equipment and Shopify and Inquest POS systems.
  • Managing 3rd party vendors' requests and setup in Shopify POS Systems.

Balance aesthetic and functional improvements to create engaging environments for everyone.

  • Evaluate replacement and upgrades of retail equipment.
  • Evaluate improvements to retail facilities.
  • Evaluate floor designs and product placement for Spring, Summer, and Fall.
  • Evaluate artwork, merchandise, and items each Fall. All changes and plans solidified by November 1st.

Assist Associate Director with summer staff recruiting.

  • Attend trips to camp fairs and BCM visits.
  • Become fluent in HR hiring software Breezy.
  • Assist with processing communications with applicants.

Supporting Oklahoma Baptists Staff.

  • Assist other Oklahoma Baptists staff with events, needs, or requests when available.
  • As needs warrant, these duties may be subject to change, or additional duties assigned.


Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel, and other applicable data entry programs.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, regulations, and memos.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Retail/Marketing experience is preferred.
  • Business/Marketing degree is preferred not required.
